As a recent study suggested, Canada cities are quite congested. We were asked by Ottawa Citizen editorial department to create a web app which they could intergrade into their traffic section.
Traffic has been introduced to improve our readers daily commute and make it easier and faster as possible to find preferable routes. The Traffic web app allows you to search your destination and displays a live feed from City of Ottawa cameras along the chosen route. It has many features including memorizing specified route for your next visit, providing step by step directions, offering alternative routes and being fully responsive.
Since the app turned to be a big success with Citizen readers, it was later integrated into Montreal Gazette, Windsor Star as well as into Calgary Herald.
