Senators Extra started as a sports blog run by the Ottawa Citizen. As it began growing into a bigger brand, it needed its own site that could respond to its’ readers changing needs.
Fully responsive, mobile friendly site was developed. It allowed Ottawa Citizen, as a sponsor of the Ottawa Senators, to ran multiple promotions through it, as well as presenting hockey coverage to our readers in an new and updated environment. The new site had a newly developed score board, updated player cards and team stats as well better, higher quality gallery and video viewing experience.
The initiated redesign resulted in better and more consistent user traffic, which let to a better brand awareness for both Senators Extra and Ottawa Citizen.
