Battle of the Fans

Battle of the Fans was born as a marketing push for the Ottawa Citizen Facebook presence. We wanted to capitalize on the upcoming Kiss and Justin Bieber concerts and the fans that would want attend those sold out shows.

In order to target and attract these new key audiences for growth on Facebook, custom artwork was created and a fun Flash game was developed.

During the contest duration Ottawa Citizen was able to increase its Facebook followers by 10%. Due to is success, we were asked repeated the contest concept for The Windsor Star, in partnership with Windsor Crossing, for a WWF match between Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio.
